The Day of Reckoning: Why Earthly Altars Must Crumble
There is a terrifying threshold in the life of a ministry when the uncompromised Gospel of Jesus Christ is traded for the dirty currency of earthly political culture. Scripture delivers a warning that cannot be softened: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7).
For years, the American pulpit has been hijacked by partisan warfare, and few have embodied this collapse more visibly than Pastor Greg Locke.
When a preacher stands behind a sacred desk and declares that a soul cannot be a follower of Christ based on a political ballot, the cross has been defiled. Such rhetoric does not flow from the Holy Spirit; it emanates human hatred.
The true Gospel requires absolute allegiance to a Kingdom not of this world. As Jesus told Pilate, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight… but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36).
The Lord will not share His glory with an elephant or a donkey. What we are witnessing today is a divine dismantling.
The Anatomy of a Fallen Platform
We are seeing the tragic, visible unraveling that occurs when a sanctuary is converted into a political theater. A ministry that once claimed thousands under a massive tent has seen its numbers dwindle to just a few hundred. God is systematically pulling the rug out from under the feet of cultural grifters.
Look at the total structural collapse:
- The Federal Raid: Roughly 60 federal agents executing a pre-dawn search warrant at Locke’s home and media business over a multi-year investigation into the alleged misappropriation of church funds.
- The Financial Freeze: Government subpoenas causing banks to shut down and freeze both personal and church accounts, paralyzing regular operations.
- The Mass Resignations: Former staff pastors resigning en masse, exposing a spiritually manipulative culture and severe financial opacity.
- The Personal Tragedy: The heartbreaking, public loss of his 20-year-old son to a drug overdose while the ministry was focused on fighting worldly culture wars.
- The Foundational Scandal: A history of personal compromise, including a bitter 2018 divorce followed just three months later by his marriage to his church administrative assistant.
While Locke disputes the allegations of manipulation and no criminal charges have been filed, the spiritual reality is undeniable: the platform is disintegrating. The forced relocation away from a heavily political brand is a haunting reminder that when man exalts earthly kingdoms using God’s name, the weight of his own compromise will eventually crush him.
The Fuel of the Corporate Empire: The Tithing Lie
How did these ministries grow into such unaccountable, monstrous empires in the first place? They did it by twisting God’s Word to systematically drain the wallets of the sheep. Corporate churches have weaponized an unbiblical, coerced model of tithing to fund their luxury lifestyles and stadium-sized operations.

God never intended for His body to be structured as a multi-campus corporate franchise. He never designed the church to be centered around massive, multi-million dollar entertainment complexes. The true New Testament church was always meant to be an intimate network of local communities, gathering organically in public parks and sharing meals in simple homes.
Today, most believers walking into mega-churches don’t even know their pastor. If they are lucky, they might get a brief, plastic handshake in a crowded lobby before the leader retreats behind a wall of security guards. We have built the biggest, most visually stunning architectural monuments in history, but we have mistaken physical brick and mortar for spiritual vitality. We look at our grand auditoriums and think we are rich, but like the Church of Laodicea, we are completely blind to our own condition:
“Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked…” (Revelation 3:17).
2027: The Great Revealing and the Collapse of the False Church
What is happening to Greg Locke is not an isolated incident—it is a frontline warning shot.
We are rapidly approaching a massive prophetic shift. As we move into 2027, the true revealing of the Antichrist will occur, and we will witness the sudden, catastrophic collapse of tens of thousands of churches worldwide.
The systems of this world are being primed for the ultimate deception. The corporate churches that have spent years embedding themselves into secular politics, building financial empires on unbiblical tithing, and worshiping cultural power are completely unprotected. They have built their houses on sand, and when the floodgates of 2027 open, the fall of those houses will be great.
God is purging His house before the final hour. He is exposing the wolves, stripping away the fake platforms, and drying up the resources of those who used His name to build their own earthly fiefdoms.
The Illusion of the Voting Booth
As true believers, we must wake up to a radical biblical truth: we have no business in the voting booth.
The modern church has swallowed a devastating lie—the myth of “choosing the lesser of two evils.” Scripture nowhere grants a believer permission to compromise with wickedness for political expediency. There is no “lesser” evil in the eyes of a Holy God. Evil is evil.
The Word of God explicitly commands us:
- “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” (Ephesians 5:11)
- “Abstain from every form of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5:22)
To step into a secular booth and cast a vote for any worldly power is to tie yourself to a beast system. You cannot serve two masters. You cannot pledge your allegiance to Christ while participating in a machine built on pride, deception, and human control.
James 4:4 warns us in the starkest terms possible: “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
A Daily Warning to Every Pastor in America
This is a direct warning to every leader, pastor, and influencer who has chosen the earthly kingdom over the cross: Repent before the platform is taken from you.
If your sermons are fueled by cultural grievances rather than the blood of Christ, you are feeding your people poison. If you are teaching thousands that salvation can be achieved through legislative leverage, institutional control, or secular elections, you are a deceiver.
Righteousness belongs solely to the Lord. His judgment is holy, it is active, and it is destroying the altars built to political idols.
True believers must step out of the political crossfire immediately. We must repent of our obsession with earthly empires and return to a pure, unpolluted devotion to Jesus Christ alone. The kingdoms of this world are falling—make sure you aren’t buried in the rubble.
