| Last week, I witnessed a remarkable demonstration in La Malbaie, Quebec.On March 15, a convoy of tractors and agricultural vehicles rolled into the city in a scene reminiscent of the farmer-led protests we’ve recently seen in Europe.Farmers expressed frustration with rising input costs, decreasing agricultural incomes, abusive climate policies, and feeling abandoned by the provincial government’s latest budget, which cut support for the agricultural sector.The protest featured speeches and a slow roll through town with messages including, “Our end will be your hunger.” Watch the scenes from that protest and hear from the farmers I spoke with that day right here.One farmer echoed a sentiment I heard throughout the protest, “The government gave us money just to take it away from our other hand in the form of taxes.”Quebec farmers are not alone in their frustrations. Tightening federal and provincial regulations driven by the Green Reset agenda are putting the squeeze on food producers across the country and around the world. P.S.
