The massacre of Christians in Syria is unfolding before our eyes, and yet much of the world—and the media—remains silent.
Entire villages have been stormed. Churches have been burned. Christians hunted and slaughtered in cold blood.
Men, women, children—massacred simply because of who they are and what they believe.
What’s happening in Syria right now is unbearable!
Reports speak of mass killings… families executed in their homes… desperate Christians fleeing to find refuge wherever they can. Entire communities are begging the world to hear their cry.
And yet… silence.
But I cannot stay silent. And I know you can’t either.
These are our brothers and sisters in Christ. And they are crying out: “Do not abandon us. Don’t let the world forget us. Stand with us. Pray for us. Speak for us.”
Through all this darkness, I keep coming back to prayer.
Because I know the CitizenGO family is a praying family. And in times like these, prayer is everything. We’re grieving the lives lost… and we’re praying for those still fleeing, still hiding, still searching for safety.
And I want you to hear this from me personally:
If you have family in Syria, please reply to this email. Let us know. If you need anything—we want to support you. We are praying for them.
In my own heart, I keep coming back to a quote from Corrie ten Boom: “There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.”
Even now—even in the ashes of Syria—that’s still true. That truth holds us up when everything else feels like it’s falling apart.
But we can’t stop at prayer. We must act.
Back in January, we launched a campaign to warn the United Nations that this could happen. We saw the signs. We raised the alarm. We begged international leaders to act before it was too late.
But now… It’s even worse than we feared.
Since then, we’ve been working non-stop—pressuring the UN, coordinating with NGOs, building a European campaign, and doing everything we can to stop the violence and amplify the cries of those being persecuted.
But we cannot stop here. The situation demands more.
- We are planning global prayer vigils outside Syrian embassies—so the world sees that Christians are not forgotten.
- We will deliver your signatures directly to UN officials and international leaders.
- We will speak at the United Nations Human Rights Council—to shed light on what is happening in Syria.
- We’ll launch global campaigns to stop this genocide of Christians and other minorities.
Yes—genocide. That’s exactly what this is. And we will not let it go unchallenged.
I know many of us feel helpless in moments like this. But we are not.
Even in our sorrow, the CitizenGO family is rising up—with prayer, with action, with love.
We will not let Syria’s Christians be erased from history.
We will not let their suffering be ignored.
And we will never stop standing for faith, for truth, for life.
Please keep praying. Please keep hoping.
For every grieving family. For every broken church. For every voice crying out in the wilderness, “Do not forget us.”
With faith and hope in Christ,
Gregory Tomchyshyn
Comment by Truth Uncensored Afrike: All the killing of Christians in Syria is for creating a Greater Israel.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Revelations 20:4 [1000 years means without number or totalless.]
