Canada will be a police state by Christmas with full 1984-level government control if Parliament passes three bills this session. The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is warning about bills C-2, C-8 and C-9. These bills would allow the government to citizens’ mail, criminalize the use of cash, allow for warrantless search, prosecute Canadians for opinions, kick people off the Internet, have full access to social media data straight from the social media companies, allow neighbors to report people for possible hate crimes, and the government could put them under house arrest if it doesn’t like how they use the Internet!
