Call to Worship
Hear God call you to worship through his word:

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God!
His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation,
is the joy of all the earth,
Mount Zion, in the far north,
the city of the great King.
Within her citadels God
has made himself known as a fortress. (Ps. 48:1–3)

Adoration
Pray this praise to God:

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty, who is and who was and who is to come, whose name is the Lord, who is most high over all the earth—you are our God, and early will we seek you; you are our God, and we will praise you; you are our fathers’ God, and we will exalt you. You are the true God, the living God, the everlasting King; the Lord our God who is one Lord. To you alone belong our adoration and praise. Amen.         Matthew Henry

Reading of the Law (for Conviction)
Hear God’s law as his will for your life:

You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy. (Lev. 19:2)

Confession of Sin
Confess your sins to God:

O God the Father of mercy, so slow to anger with children so swift to sin—deal not with us according to our deserts, but open up to us the arms of your compassion, that what we have lost by our offenses we may recover by your mercies and walk from now on in your way; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.         Bede

Assurance of Pardon
Receive these words of comfort from God:

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh. (Rom. 8:1–3)

Reading of the Law (for Consecration)
Hear God’s law as his way for your life:

The words of our Lord Jesus Christ:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. . . . [Do] this, and you will live. (Lk. 10:27–28)

Prayer of Intercession
As you make your requests to God, pray this prayer:

Holy Spirit, reveal your righteousness, power, and love to our souls, that as our knowledge of you increases, our repentance will be more spiritual, evangelical, and effectual. We entreat you to enable us to forsake our former evils, to set a guard upon the door of our lips, and to inspire us with a worshipful reverence for that holy name which we have until now profaned. Amen.         John Newton
