reported on August 18 that militarized AI robots would be the next big thing in law enforcement and state-sponsored surveillance, as nation states follow the lead of China in using robots to force humans to comply with increasingly tyrannical government edicts. As Trump’s war in Iran continues to rage causing shortages of diesel and jet fuel, energy lockdowns are a strong possibility.
Low and behold, the big story this week is robotic dogs being purchased by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE).
A newly unearthed DHS document shows that ICE is preparing to buy four-legged SPOT robots from Boston Dynamics.
A tentative notice that alerts private companies of the government’s upcoming procurement needs lists the deal valued at up to $2 million with a formal solicitation expected on September 4.
The online tech journal Geekspin reports:

According to the document, the robots will handle inspection, situational awareness, and hazard assessment in places that put human personnel at risk. Officer safety is cited as the stated justification.
However, the forecast itself remains broad and says nothing about immigration enforcement. It also provides no specific operational scenarios for where or how the robots would be sent in.
Boston Dynamics describes Spot, a roughly 75-pound unit that’s able to handle stairs and rough terrain, as an easy-to-use tool. It operates remotely and transmits real-time data with the help of thermal imaging, cameras, and mapping sensors (available as add-ons) as it goes.
While the DHS document remains vague on exactly how many robots ICE intends to purchase or which specific configurations they will order, the technology’s versatility has sparked immediate questions regarding its potential application.

The report goes on to note that, for ICE, this latest proposed contract lands amid a broader buildout covering facial recognition, automated license-plate readers, commercial data brokers, GPS ankle monitors, smartphone monitoring, voice recognition, electric-shock gloves, and body cameras.
Watch the report below on the proposed purchase of robotic dogs for the purposes of immigration enforcement, and keep in mind that this is an agency, ICE, that didn’t even exist until March 2003, and now we are granting them virtually unlimited funding while arming them with all manner of high-tech military weaponry.

The purchase of robot dogs comes on the heels of an announcement just days ago that ICE is spending $16.7 million to purchase 6,000 pairs of electric-shock gloves for use, ostensibly, on uncooperative illegal immigrants.
The government has a history of testing new policing technology first on illegals. Then they will be used on Americans. In fact, there are already a few big city police departments that have these robotic dogs in their arsenal, for the purpose of performing operations considered “too dangerous” for human cops.
That’s a pretty vague job description for the robots, since almost anything a human cop does could be considered dangerous. Look for the policing roles of robots, both on ground and in the air, to steadily increase over the coming years in cities worldwide.
It won’t be long before human SWAT teams are replaced with robots to come bash down your door in the middle of the night to confiscate your firearms or other declared contraband.
The Democrats will be used to ban your guns. The Republicans will be used to sic the robots on you and confiscate them.
That’s how American politics works nowadays. Each wing of the Uniparty is used for specialized roles in driving us toward the goal of a full-on police state where the civil rights and civil liberties of the average person get steadily eroded, until eventually they are non-existent. Globalist power elites are masters at incrementalism, the proverbial frog in the pot of water. Turn up the heat slowly enough that the poor frogs never realize they are under siege until they are boiled to death.
And it won’t just be guns that the robots come for. Anything declared contraband in the new technocratic police state can and will be seized by the cops, and remote-controlled AI robots, heavily armed, will be the tool of choice to accomplish the mission. After all, we wouldn’t want human cops to do the dirty work of the new techno-tyrannical republic.
China, long seen as a totalitarian state, has already been deploying robot dogs to keep its citizenry in line for several years. We saw how these robodogs were used to intimidate and control Chinese citizens during the Covid lockdowns.
More recently, China has incorporated the robot dogs into its military, specifically for “urban combat operations.” Watch below, and it’s not difficult to imagine how these robots could be used on the streets of America as the country slowly melts down, economically and culturally, into greater and greater chaos.

The gap between China’s use of brutality against its own citizens and the U.S. government’s use of similar tactics is narrowing every year. If the trend continues, there will soon be virtually no difference between life in China and life in the U.S.
Watch below as Dropsite News interviews members of Congress about this week’s announcement of robotic dogs being prepared for integration into the ranks of Homeland Security agents.

Democrat lawmakers interviewed in the above video put forth convincing arguments against using robotic dogs against the immigrant community. But don’t be fooled. They are not so much against the technology as they are against the named targets of it. Once Democrats get back in power, they will not bat an eye at using this same technology against American citizens they don’t like or consider political enemies.
BOTTOM LINE: Homeland Security and ICE has become by far the most dangerous and out of control federal agency. And that’s saying something when you take into account how many over-staffed, over-funded and highly armed federal agencies are operating in the shadows of power within the United States. But ICE has been fashioned as a type of shock troops that operates at the command of one man, the president, and can overrule state or local police whenever and wherever it wants. When states have pushed back, the courts have largely supported the role of federal power. America is today teetering on the edge of a very dangerous transition, where it is seeing its influence abroad challenged and successfully defied for the first time since the end of World War II. And history tells us that when empires collapse, there are always ramifications on the homefront as the authorities seek to consolidate whatever power they have left over their domestic populations.
We should not be surprised in the months and years ahead to see the U.S. federal government, regardless of which party’s political frontman is sitting in the White House, start to crack down and abuse its power, violating the civil rights and civil liberties not only of foreigners, but of American citizens as well. We’ve already seen instances of it with the shooting deaths of two ICE protesters who were not posing any threat to life or limb. They were simply gunned down in cold blood.
Remember, we are dealing with a government that routinely slaughters innocent civilians in needless wars abroad, so if things get dicey here at home due to economic collapse accompanied by food and gasoline shortages, look out. This government will not hesitate to turn inward and use all of its new “tools” against American citizens. First they come for the illegal immigrants. Then they come for us.
